Dropdown menus can have any number of sub-menus and sub-menu levels. However, more that two or three levels will be difficult for users to navigate.
Log in to your Community Center web site using a Site Manager account. Once you are logged in:
-
Click My Profile. The Login window appears.
-
Scroll down to the Site Manager Component Tools section, then click Menu Editor. The Menu Editor window appears.
-
If you have not done so already, you must create the sub-menu as a new dropdown menu (see Add a Dropdown Menu).
-
On the Menu Editor window, note the name of the menu you wish to use as a sub-menu.
-
Click the name of the menu in which you would like the sub-menu to appear. The Menu Settings window appears.
-
Scroll down to the menu item from which you would like the sub-menu to appear. In the Link Text box, type a space after the text already in the box, then type menu:{menu name} where {menu name} is the name of the sub-menu.
-
When done, click Submit. The Menu Settings window re-appears.
-
Click Return to Menus. The Menu Editor window appears.
-
In the menu list, you should now see the words "submenu of..." next to the sub-menu you just added.
-
Click Close This Window.
