Community Planner Katie Moss Sieb Presenting at a Meeting

LIAA community planner Katie Moss Sieb will be speaking on a panel at the 16th annual Great Lakes Beach Association Conference in Marquette, Michigan on Friday, October 7. Katie will be speaking on the theme of shoreline preservation with a panel of statewide experts in coastal planning and engineering. The presentation will summarize the results of LIAA’s Planning for Resilient Communities work in Grand Haven, where Master Plans focused on resiliency were developed for the City of Grand Haven and Grand Haven Township. LIAA and the University of Michigan are now working on a pilot project to adopt zoning ordinance amendments that implement the coastal resiliency goals found in the new Master Plans. Come learn about ways to strengthen your community’s commitment to shoreline preservation! Register online for the conference here.
